2026 LOCAL ELECTION RESULTS

No Election Will Be Held for the Village of Montrose

We are pleased to announce the Council for the upcoming 2026–2030 term, which will begin in November 2026.

As all candidates for the available Mayor and Councillor positions were elected by acclamation, there will be no election required for the Village of Montrose.

Congratulations to Mayor Mike Walsh and Councillors Cindy Cook, Russell Cooper, Rory Steep, and William Thatcher.

Thank you to the residents of the Village of Montrose for your continued interest and involvement in our community.

NOTICE REGARDING GARBAGE COLLECTION

The Village would like to remind all residents that, in accordance with Waste Management and Wildlife Attractant Bylaw No. 780, 2024, all garbage must be placed in Village garbage bags and then placed inside a garbage container that is secured with a watertight lid for collection.

Please ensure all garbage is placed in a garbage container with a securely closed, watertight lid and set out by 7:30 a.m. on collection day.

Properly containing garbage also helps reduce wildlife and pest attractants.
