Thinking about running in the 2026 Local Government Election? Nomination packages are now available for pickup at the Village Office! Come by and pick up your package today.

Montrose voters will elect:
1 Mayor
4 Councillors

To run for local office, you must:
Be at least 18 years old on General Voting Day
Be a Canadian citizen
Have lived in BC for at least 6 months before filing nomination papers
Not be disqualified under the Local Government Act or any other enactment

Candidates have until September 11 to return their nomination forms!

2025 Survey

The Village of Montrose will be holding a by-election for the purposes of electing one Councillor.  The term of appointment will run until the general election in 2026.
